Stimulating The Economy

By Clare Crowden

Here's a fascinating look at today's . Germany is now planning to cut taxes in its efforts to stabilize its own economy. According to Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel, this will help stimulate the economy throughout Europe. Another thing Merkel points out is that Germany is dealing with the economic collapse recently as well.

She further said that Germany feels and obligation to help in any way possible, and that includes reducing the tax burden, in efforts to stimulate its economy. They are also setting goals for maintaining demand for imported goods from other nations in the euro zone.

Last May, Germany's parliament did not approve plans that would have reduced citizens tax burden by as much as 6 billion euros. The opposition thought it would not be in the nation's best interest to do so at a time when they were trying to balance the nation's budget.

For the more conservative minded individual, cutting taxes to stimulate growth just makes sense. Not everyone agrees though. There is a school of thought that economic stimulus can only take place when more money is spent. Someone should tell them to try that with their own budgets.

A small business news brief: spending money when you don't have it makes little sense.

Of course, making wise investments does make sound small business news sense, but this should never stretch the budget too far.

It is never the right thing to do to jeopardize a country's security, no matter what country we are talking about. Sometimes, treason is the thought behind making decisions that negatively affect one's country.

Because some people think that Europe is liberal overall, it is often thought that taxes would never be cut here. Nevertheless, there is something that can be learned from history when people just listen.

Due to the economic crisis of recent years, Europe has taken a hard hit. Other nations have determined that providing entitlements may not be best for all the people. With the knowledge gained from Europe's experience, maybe other nations should take a page out of their book.

Taking the pride away from the people, and giving them a handout mentality in its place, will only spell disaster for any country. When people are not willing to work for what they get, from where will entitlements funds come? By cursing at the wealthy because of their tenacity to make money, we are causing further societal decay.

What is a nation to do when they find themselves in this situation? Look up and find leaders that have a calling higher than the acclaim of political office.
